I wandered the streets of Doha, Qatar for hours. There are so many gorgeous buildings being built (at least from a distance, the quality varies a bit up close). I was really surprised how futuristic it all was. I was hoping to shoot looking up this sleek, silvery building in the middle-right of this scene – but that just wasn’t possible. I’m not sure what goes on inside the low, wide building just in front and to the right of it, but they REALLY don’t want you hanging around there with cameras. I stood on the corner for only a few seconds before I was asked to leave. There are cameras and guards everywhere. And Doha is probably not the place to push things, I heard many stories of journalists being locked up for days for accidentally photographing the wrong building.
